About Us
BabyBrew Activities was established to help parents and caregivers with purposeful playtime activities for babies in their first year of life (0-12months). We understand the challenges that are faced with a new baby, which is why we have put together a collection of intentional playtime activities that focus on key milestones in subjects like: Physical, Language, Cognitive, and Social Developments.
Our Love-To-Learn Activity Card Collection has a total of 90 activities that are broken into 3 decks: 0-4Months, 5-8Months, and 9-12Months. All activities have been reviewed by specialists in Pediatric Physical Therapy and Speech Language Pathology to ensure that all activities are appropriate for that specific age group.
BabyBrew Activities prides itself in minimalist style playtime. There are no TV screens, craft supplies, expensive gadgets, or baby containers (bouncers, swings, jumpers, etc.) required for any of the activities!
MEET THE TEAM
Kelsey Casto, Founder
Kelsey is a mom of 2 sweet girls, Cypress and Everest. Kelsey has a full-time job as the Director of Quality and Assembly Engineering at a semiconductor company in Austin, TX. When Kelsey had her first babygirl, Cypress, she knew she would have to continue working her full-time job, but still had the desire for intentional and purposeful playtime with her new baby. Any spare moment Kelsey got with Cypress, was spent having meaningful playtime, whether it was reading books, helping her with developmental exercises, or finding ways to make her smile. This purposeful playtime Kelsey got with Cypress is what started BabyBrew Activities! Kelsey wanted to help other parents and caregivers who had a desire for intentionality with their babies by developing a product that took the stress, worry, and guilt away!
Dr. Olivia Gorham, PT, DPT, Physical Therapist, Mom
Olivia is a mom to a beautiful blue-eyed girl, Brighton. She currently works in Austin, TX as a Pediatric Physical Therapist. Olivia graduated from Texas A&M with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Exercise Physiology and received her Doctor of Physical Therapy at St. Augustine for Health Sciences in Austin, TX. Olivia was a key component to help start up BabyBrew Activities and was excited to be a part of the team so she could help families who do not have much prior experience in proactive exercises for baby development. Her knowledge of Pediatric Physical Therapy is appreciated by not only the company, but by all the future parents and caregivers that will be using the Love-To-Learn Activity Card Collection.
Hillary Whitfield, MS CCC-SLP, Speech Language Pathologist, Mom
Hillary is the mom to a handsome boy named Walker. She currently works in Plano, TX as a Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist in home health therapy. Hillary Graduated from the University of Texas with a BS in Communication Sciences and Disorders & a BA in Spanish Linguistics and received her Master’s in Speech Language Pathology from NYU. Hillary was the perfect addition to BabyBrew Activities, not only because of her extensive educational background, but because she also shares a similar desire as BabyBrew Activities to help equip parents and caregivers with tools that will help develop language skills in children their first year of life.
Patrick Joven, Artist
Patrick is a freelance artist who is currently enrolled in a BSN nursing program at the University of Texas Health in San Antonio. Patrick is a great asset to the BabyBrew Activities team, not just because of his artistic ability, but because of his background in biomechanics, which was phenomenally displayed in the Love-To-Learn Activity Card Collection artwork. Before he pursued nursing, he received a BS in Kinesiology at the University of Texas at San Antonio and has worked in various roles such as: Sensor Motor Coach, Physical Therapist Intern, and Post Rehabilitation Exercise Specialist.
